Music Center Weekday Post-Matinee Dinner

corydon | Jun 2, 200309:42 PM     1

I have read all of the 1-2 year old Music Center links and greatly lament the loss of Vivere, which would be perfect for my needs. My dilemna now is where to go for a 60th birthday dinner for 5 or more AFTER a Music Center matinee. The restaurant shuttle seems to be designed for diners attending evening events at the Music Center. I don't think Water Grill is in the picture, and we do not want to stick around the Center. It is a bit of a muddle, as no one is crazy about getting into a car and driving during rush hour in downtown to a restaurant. Any recs or matinee experience out there?
Currently under consideration are Ciudad, Nick and Stef's, Zucca. Fancier festive Chinatown, Little Tokyo destinations would also suffice.
