Mu Lan Taiwanese restaurant - Lunch menu

Dib | Jul 27, 2005 02:12 PM

Just went to Mu Lan for lunch. I had been really looking forward to trying some specific Taiwanese specials, after MB posted the menu (linked again below). Unfortunately, for lunch you can only order off of their lunch menu: A1-A16 and L1-L26 (I think). I asked for a dinner menu and was told I'd have to come back at dinner.

Split the eggplant with basil and the pork with mustard greens. Both came very quickly, making me think that that is why they limit the menu. Eggplant was the better dish, liked the hot peppers. I have not had Taiwan Cafe's version yet, so can't compare. I didn't like the edamame in the pork with mustard greens; overall this dish was just ok, tasting sort of fragmented.

The service was anxiously attentive.

I'll have to go back sometime to order off the full menu. Looking forward to trying dishes like the minced pork rolls. Oh, also you can't charge less than $20 on a credit card. The lunch specials are $6.25 each.
