First off my biggest problem here was service related which seems to be spotty at best in Vegas.
We had a 9pm reservation and showed up right on the number. In what appeared to be a not extremely packed place we where told it would be a few minutes if we would like to have a seat. We sat in the corner for 10 minutes before anyone said anything to us.
I went to the front desk and asked if we could at least get a waiter to us for a drink and they looked at me like I was an alien. Waiter arrived and took order, minutes later the hostess came to seat us? At a place this high end, do the staff even talk to each other?
We were taken to our table which was a deep booth designed for a group, not suitable for a nice dinner for 2. As my fiance went to sit down I told her stop and pointed out to the hostess who appeared about 12, the horrible mess on the seat from the last diner. Can you believe that, crumbs and stains all over. They apologized and gave us a much better table.
No please have a glass of champagne or desert on us though.
Salmon Tar Tar - pretty standard and not bad
Country pate - pretty average
Braised beef short ribs - very good
Lamb - very good
The Som was helpful picking a french wine as I only know CA wines and wanted something different. $240 with wine/cocktail, desert and coffee. I think Bouchon may be in the bargain range. I suggest having a nice bottle of wine in your room and then going for dinner which can be quite cheap.
Now, I try not to judge service on one trip, any other opnions here?
