So driving along Mira Mesa Blvd today during my work's winter break I noticed two things:
1. Manna BBQ is open (or has been for about a month or so) at the Mira Mesa Mall. Same menu, same prices (I think) as their Kearny Mesa location. They also have locations in San Marcos and I believe Chula Vista.
2. Tim Ky Noodle is open (in place of the Tan Ky Mi Gia that closed in August at the Lucky Seafood strip mall). New ownership and the remodel has brought a more modern decor with modern wood paneling, gray engineered wood tables, etc. Despite the small size it even feels more spacious than the old restaurant with its black granite-like tables. New ownership (which is why there was a remodel and change) but menu options are about the same. I know my dad didn't like when Tan Ky Mi Gia raised their wonton noodle soup price to $6.99 from $5.99, but the new place has the price at $6.49. Haven't eaten there yet but intend to tomorrow.
