Cinco de Mayo marked the grand opening of Mi Lindo Yucatan in Noe Valley. The location: 4042 24th Street, where Mexico City Restaurant only just recently stood. I only had time to briefly scan the menu: most starters (tamales, tostadas, etc.) in the $2 range and main courses like cochinita pibil and poc chuc in the $8 area. Also $8 bowls of menudo and posole on the weekend. It was nearly empty at 7pm last night.

Other news: Stonehouse Olive Oil, which has a shop in the Ferry Building, has opened an outlet on 24th Street and Sanchez, the former site of a juice bar and Dharma clothing store. Supposedly opened on May 1st, but I have not yet been by during business hours.
