This board is full of so much great information that it was hard to decide where to eat! My friend and I were staying in Condesa for a bit over a week in December and here are some of the places we wound up going:
El Tizoncito for tacos al pastor. This was pretty good; we were pointed here by our Airbnb host.
Pujol for a late lunch. Pujol was great! The service was really friendly and the tasting menu was exactly what I would have expected from any tasting menu - interesting presentations, some dishes worked better than others, but overall good value (1250 pesos for the tasting menu + extra course + horchata).
El Farolito for tacos al pastor; these were totally better than El Tizoncito! We liked El Farolito a lot and wound up here multiple times; food was good, they had long operating hours, and it was very close to our apartment.
Las Chalupitas for dinner; random pick near the apartment. I only liked it ok but my friend was a big fan.
Casa de la Yeya breakfast with Cristina! This was so fun; the food was good, the location was lovely, and the conversation was awesome. This morning resulted in maybe my favourite bite of food on the trip - cheese from the market! Almost like a string cheese. So good!
Nico's for lunch; we had guacamole, octopus, and a chicken dish. Everything tasted good and was well-made, but we both felt like we could've had an equally satisfying meal without going so far out of our way.
Coyoacan market for tostadas. These were really good! I had two seafood tostadas and wanted to keep going but had cheese ice cream and a popsicle instead.
El Hidalguenese for barbacoa. This was awesome! I went for breakfast, so no line.
Maque for breakfast. It's nice sitting next to the park! I don't know what I ate but I think it was a tortilla stuffed with squash blossoms and cheese covered in a dark sauce and it was good.
Burgers by Buba. The bacon cheese burger was so good.
Overall, there was just so much good food everywhere! I don't even know where or when I got them but I had enchiladas from one place and it was one of my favourite things I ate on the trip. Thanks to everyone on this board for compiling so much food info in one place!
