I recently tried methu Vada in a south Indian restaurant here in St. Louis, a very nice Indian gentleman from another table clued us in on the dish, but he never told us how to eat the methu vada with the sambaar. I assume that there is a reason that they serve the two together. I knew what to do with the three sauces they gave us, but how do we eat the two together. I tried dipping the methu vada in the sambaar, and it was pretty good. Is this what you're supposed to do?
