Best Mendoza Restaurants 2013

My stay has been extended in Mendoza and I wanted to update my list of favorite restaurants. Good food is not easy to find in Mendoza, but there are a few bright spots:

- Brindillas: a little out of the way, small restaurant with excellent seasonal menus. Recently featured in NYT:

- Mun @ Casarena: excellent sushi & Asian cusine in the Barrel Room of Casarena Winery. Nice experience to meet other people and socialize with the Chef. Recently featured in Wine Enthusiast: They start lunch service in April. Sushi in the vineyard...Napa finally comes to Mendoza!

- Anna Bistro -- like the name says, a bistro, with good food -- very good wine list. Romantic setting. No frills, beautiful garden.

New editions to my list:

Marie Antonieta: adorable, charming, centrally located -- love the pumpkin soufflé with goat cheese - also pork tenderloin with stuffed pesto. Chef came from Francis Mallman 1884...which, unfortunately, does not make my list...

Finca Ogawa: adorable farm in Valle de Uco with farm-fresh breakfast (quiche & organic coffee from Oregon) served in their garden. Go to pick your own rasberries (Dec - May), apples, tomatoes & herbs. A fun event for an entire day -- very kid friendly!
