I hope this isn't a silly question...I just purchased a meat thermometer as I am always cooking chicken breasts and always overcooking them. My question is....when you turn on the thermometer (I have a digital one), it reads the temperature in the room. So when I put my thermometer in my meat, do I need to subtract the room temperature or is it when my thermometer reads 165, which includes the room temperature as well. I hope I'm not confusing anyone. Lol!
