meat in pureed lentils

15 years ago I spent a semester living in Salamanca, Spain. I still dream about this one particular dish my Spanish "mother" used to make. It had small bony pieces of meat sitting in a gravy thickened with pureed lentils. Any ideas on what this was called and how I might be able to recreate it?
