Taking meat pies camping

mullingink | Apr 9, 201804:01 PM     1

I was thinking of making some hand pies with meat/cheese for breakfast or lunch for our family when we go to a camping event. There may or may not be firepits, but we do not have room to bring our own. We will have our two burner camp stove only. Is there a way to heat meat pies on a camp stove? Should I start with them frozen or refrigerated? Is there a good way to store them in the cooler? And if I need to eat them cold, what sort of filling tastes good cold?
