I Love Maureen's Kitchen. Not because of anything other than they give a hoot. The food tastes like it. The cleanliness shows it. They also have the gold standard in scrambled eggs. Sometimes I think they should hold a class for short order cooks to learn how to make scrambled eggs.
By my understanding and definitions, Maureen's Kitchen is a Diner. But I see today that definition has changed and a faux Las Vegas / Hotel Lobby thing defines the 3 am pancakes with a gin and tonic.
The only question I have that's been left unanswered is about the sign on the front lawn.
It says, "Home Cooking".
They use high quality ingredients. Boars Head, Tropicana, etc. But what's the "Home Cooking" part?
