Marzipan for Princess Cake

Steve G | Apr 26, 2006 03:37 PM

I remember an old post on a baking supply store in Berkeley or Oakland that sold Marzipan in bulk, can anyone help with either that store or their own favorite source for large quantities of Marzipan?

Also, any pointers on relative quality of locally available brands would be helpful.

I found Niki Rothman's post about Marzipan at what I think is Bryan's market, but assuming if it's the 4 oz tubes like they have at Rainbow I'm going to be spending $$$ to get enough to coat two princess cakes.

I know it would probably be cheaper in the end to get one from Schubert's, but this is for a friend and I want to make it myself.

Want to stay up to date with this post?
