Maria's of Rosemont, Opens branch in Des Plaines

Sweet Willie | Apr 25, 200205:17 PM

Maria's of Rosemont is now open in Des Plaines, where the short lived branch of Dapper's used to be (across from DesPlaines train station, S.side of tracks, east of DesPlaines library).

Having had consistently good meals at Maria's in Rosemont (near Rosemont Theatre), I was very pleased to see a branch of Maria's open in Des Plaines.

Wife and I both were in a steak mood so we ordered the Carne Asada. Skirt steaks were done to a perfect medium rare (as requested). Yummy homemade flour tortillas, w/the usual Pico, refried beans and rice. Side of black bean or tortilla soup comes w/the meals. We prefer the black bean soups.

The only complaint I have is the guacamole is not as good as I feel it should be, considering the great quality of the other items.

Maria's of Des Plaines
1535 Ellinwood Avenue
Des Plaines, IL 60016
Hours: 11am-11pm Tuesday-Sunday, closed Monday

PS: they may close early (10:30pm) if biz is slow; so far that has not been the case.
