Marconda's Meats

Here's another high five for Marconda's Meats at the Farmer's Market, Third/Fairfax. We had a cowboy cookout for 30 this weekend and a chef-friend of mine suggested the Piedmont flatiron steaks from this butcher. Lou, behind the counter, was knowledgeable and pleased to discuss his selections, different cuts and other options, just what you want with a good butcher. The beef was well-cut and grilled up excellently and were the talk of the evening, (well, besides the cooking..) Cost-wise, an excellent value. Since we had some leftovers, the neighbors keep dropping by for steak sandwiches. It's great to have another option besides Whole Foo's and the club stores. I recommend Marconda's to chow-dom and beyond.
