You no longer need to go to Manhattan to visit a totally delightful restaurant. If I were a millionaire I would have lunch and dinner daily at Uncle Peter's -- 83rd Street and Northern Boulevard. It's twenty minutes from Manhattan.
On my first visit I had broiled chicken with a caesar salad and peasant bread. Presentation A+, taste A+, service Helpful. Finally, I found the kind of restaurant I was used to in Manhattan. It was love.
The next day I just went and had spagetti and tomato sauce laced with prosciutto. Perfect!!!!!!!!!
A few weeks later I threw a birthday party there. I set up a four course menu with Peter, choose the wines, champagne. Every one of the thirty people were impressed with the food.
Now all the people I know go to Uncle Peter's Restaurant. We don't pay optimum Manhattan prices and we are served a glorious meal.
And, it's the best place to go to for lunch when you are dining solo.
