My daughter took us to a Malaysian Restaurant last year when we were visiting her, and I can't recall the name. (I'm trying to recommend it to someone).
It was either in the East Village or the Village proper, served very tasty Malaysian food (natch). In the midst of some pricy trendy/yuppie-looking places, it was surprisingly affordable (appreciated by me, the "Bank of Dad") and had a family feel to it (staff was all Malaysian/Asian). It was jam-packed, even thought it was quite late (10'ish on a weeknight) and I vaguely recall walking up a few steps as if it was split-level (could be wrong about that).
If anybody comes up with a name, I'll probably remember it. Thanx!
