Major Downhill Alert: Cafe Habana

Or maybe I was just crazy when I thought this place was really good? I went last night, hadn't been in about 3 years, and I thought the food was terrible. I ordered the chicken in roast garlic sauce. The accompanying sides of rice and spinach were very watery. The chicken itself was a sad pre-prepared cutlet that was soaked with a flavorless brown gravy and topped with a few token cloves of garlic. My husband had the same pre-prepared chicken cutlet, only his was slathered in an odd grey "mole" sauce.

I know this place gets incredibly slammed with customers, but they used to keep up with them and still serve pretty well-prepared inexpensive food. It doesn't really seem like that any longer, save for the grilled corn with cheese, which was, and will always be, spectacular.

Anyone else have recent experience here?
