I've been frequenting New York's pastry shops for a long time. A lament the passing of, Dumas, Bonte, Collette, Leonards, Lanciani and Greenberg's since he sold it. Payard gets most of my business now.I will travel anywhere in the city for good pastry. Recently I have had a few unpleasant experiences at Magnolia Bakery. I think they have let their trendiness get to their heads. I find their service staff to be very condescending. The people, who wait on their long lines, are often rude and obnoxious. Has anyone else had similar feelings about Magnolia ? Besides Payard are there any quality establishments out there ?
