Been meaning to try this Pakistani place for a few months. Had a very satisfying Haleem with naan -- a rich meaty stew, mutton mixed with tiny bits of what I thought were cracked wheat. Rich spices, coriander setting the pace. Nice aromatic bites from tiny sticks of ginger. A well made naan, crackling crisp on the outside, a nice chew on the inside.
Attached is a little supermarket with a range of foodstuffs from India and Pakistan. Snagged a box of assorted sweets from the refrigerator, generally tasty, from pieces of fudgy textured milk sweets to a moderately dense gulab jamun.
Would like to go back for dinner this coming Thursday, to try their curries and tandoori. Thinking about getting a small group (maybe 8 max) together. If you're interested, drop me an email above. Details:
72-74 Brighton Ave, Allston
Dinner on Thursday, Apr 8. 7:30pm.
