I must be on a soul food binge these last couple of weeks, and it's all thanks to St.Leonards and YourPalWill.

My coworker and I decided to check out MacArthurs today. It was cafeteria style, and basically you get a main dish and a choice of 2 sides. Regular main dishes are $5.99 and Special Main Dishes are $6.99. But for the amount of food you get, it is worth every penny.

I ordered the fried chicken with yams and mac n cheese. I like their Mac more than OT's. Creamier, and they placed a slice of cheese singles on top, and it kinda burnt up a little... It was great! The yams were a little too sweet for me. But the chicken was great. Perfectly fried, and not greasy... It also came with a piece of cornbread.

Then I broke down, and ordered another lunch. I am going to have it for dinner, if it makes it through this afternoon. That one is smother pork chops with spaghetti n meat sauce and collard greens. I sneaked a bite already, and had to stop myself from finishing it. The pork chops are really smothered in a brown onion gravy, and so tender... The collard greens had the perfect tang, and the spaghetti was ok. Have to stop writing about food that is sitting right next to me.

Then I broke down again, and ordered a peach cobbler for dessert. $3 for a large portion, which wasn't really that big. But it was so good. Warm sweet peaches with pastry... yum...

I have not seen this place written up recently, so if anyone has been there, please tell me what else is good...=)

Parking Lot available.
But good luck. It was packed at lunch
