not sure if i'm posting in the right board (please move if required)...
my little guy is starting kindergarten in september (gulp). we will need to send him with lunch. we've been in a luxurious bubble with daycare for the last few years providing him a warm and relatively gourmet lunch (i.e. chick pea chowder, butter chicken, provencal fish, grassfed beef, etc). the kid has been eating better lunches than me!
i'd like your recos for suitable/appropriate lunch containers ... BPA-free, non-stick coating free, etc. my kid will be just shy of 4 when he starts school and while very communicative, he's got little hands and i have no clue how he's supposed to manage some of these containers i've looked at. it's a 1 teacher: 12 kids ratio and the kids are expected to be able to serve themselves.
i'm looking for two containers: one for hot lunches and another for 'cold' lunches (maybe like those bento-style containers i've seen?).
also, please feel free to share recos for lunch bags/boxes. my kid loves diggers, dinos, trains, and cars.
fwiw, i'm in toronto, canada but have access to purchase stuff online in the US.
