Our Lunch at Commander's Palace

Rick | Nov 7, 2005 03:55 PM

Just got back from Vegas and we did the Martini Lunch. My dad had the $18.80 lunch and I had the soups 1-1-1 and the half and half Po Boy. My dad started with a warm spinach salad, a white fish that I believe was called Poke?, and ended with a chocolate rasberry dessert. The salad and fish were both great, the dessert was just OK. You'd be better off getting the beignets for dessert. We each had four martinis and a very fun lunch. Please note you can order other martinis than the four they list on the menu and you'll still only pay a quarter. Our waiter suggested a French Martini and a chocolate martini with dessert, both were much better than the ones we ordered from the menu. A table next to us had lemon drop martinis that also looked great. We also had the melon martini which was way too sweet and didn't finish it. Also had the commander's martinis which was good, but the french was better. $50 for the two of us, a great value especially since we had eight martinis!
