Friend recommended new place open only about 2 weeks across from former Pinkberry on Vermont Avenue called Sidewalk Grill, operated by the same people operating Shekarchi in downtown LA.
Wow, the filet mignon skewer was soooooo tender, not the dried out version found in so many other places. And the accompanying babaganoush was really good as was the pita bread, garlic sauce, and both the hot potatoes and shirazi salad as side dishes.
Great sidewalk dining as well as some interior seating. Probably 25 patio seats and about an equal numbe inside. Open 7 days. No booze.
Heard the grilled salmon was also wonderful, yet need to return to verify, which should prove effortless, as the prices of either $8.95 or $9.95 for a full plate full of food, depending on number of sides, are very enticing.
Oh, did I mention the service/help - enough reason right there. Truly helpful in every way.
