[Liverpool] Places worth visiting

These are just personal recommendations mixed with the views of others but I thought it would be handy to summarise what's good and what isn't in the city at the moment:

London Carriage Works - Generally considered the most consistent, though I imagine it is certainly possible to have a bad meal here. Worth a shot. http://cheesenbiscuits.blogspot.com/2...

60 Hope Street - Cheaper and more interesting than LCW, and they are currently doing a very good £16.50 lunch menu with wine. Haven't been myself but the family enjoyed it.

Malmaison Brasserie - By turns surprising and infuriating, but a nice room and good location if you want to check out the seafront. http://cheesenbiscuits.blogspot.com/2...

The Munro - All mouth and no trousers. Recent visits have been disappointing and you can do better in the price range.

I would very much like reports from Simply Heathcote's, Blake's (in the new Hard Days Night hotel), and Ziba to add to the list, so please feel free to pipe up if you've been!
