While up in the Bay area over the holidays I had my first Dungeness crab--outstanding! Now I am wondering how the local
live crab (you know, the ones swimming in the big tanks at oriental supermarkets like Ranch 99) might compare. I guess I could always just buy one and steam it up to see how it tastes, but thought my fellow CHers might offer advice. I would imagine they might taste a little funkier, kind of like an aquarium flavor.
Anyone tried them from a tank?
