Overall an excellent dinner here last night. Service was very slow, no doubt due to the three-star Times review. Started off with apps of: short ribs over farro (amazingly flavorful) and diver scallops roasted with simple, light terrific sauce. We both had the agnolotti stuffed with fois gras (duck??) and duck meat which was as rich and good as it sounds. Entrees were less interesting: choice of several fish dishes (branzino, salmon, tuna...); venison; chicken; steak; capretto. One of us had the capretto (kid)...rich stew
with tons of flavor and tender, braised meat. I had the roast chicken, which I admit was a boring choice and the dish was simple and, well, sort of boring. Dessert was one flour-less chocolate cake and one "chocolate soup," as good as it sounds....with carafe of house wine (9 oz..Barbera??) the bill was about $120 for two....pretty great price. I certainly would go back.
