Leftover Week

SarahCW | Jan 26, 201507:07 PM     33

In light of our thread on not wasting food, I've decided I need to dedicate the last week of every month to eating my accumulate(ing) freezer foods. It is just me, and my freezers aren't stuffed, but they are getting there. Just yesterday I added a container of ragu I knew I wouldn't be able to eat this week. I know I have leftover stuffing, some enchilada filling left over, some frozen homemade calazone, some frozen pancakes, froze, bread cubes, frozen applesauce, frozen baked goods, some frozen cookie dough. Honestly I have more than a week's worth of frozen foods.

So next week is my frozen food week--I'm trying to decide if I should try to re-interpret the leftover into a new dish, or eat it as it was originally intended.

Anyone want to join me in? Any tips for freezer foraging?
