Went on Friday night.

The food is excellent. I had a mushroom and spincach tart while my date had french onion soup. Both were very good. The sauce on the tart was sweet and interesting, nto sure what was in it. The soup was a more classic example of french onion soup. We both had skate, then I had veal and she ahd turkey. Skate was superb. Veal excellent, espaiclly noteworthy was the puree of chestnuts and apples. Good and interesting. Turkey was good, but not wonderful. Dessert were a chocolate brioche and a parfait, good to very good, not wonderful.

Food wise, the place is excellent, especially when one considers the price. It is a bargain. Service wise, it's ok, but I can see there is an effort. Every one wants to be helpful adn give good service, but sometimes, it is just a little off. For example, the veal probably should have been warmer.
