Foodsnobs posting inspired me, since I to am leaving NY and am looking for those last not to be missed meals. But I am going to Los Angeles, so would like to try to avoid food that I think I will have no problem finding there (Sushi, Thai, (my favorites) ).
I have reservation at Babbo and Gotham city bar and grill (lunch). I have a limited budget, but currently am considering going to one or two other restaurants, perhaps:
WD-50 (seems very interesting), Town, Blue Hill, or 66.
Would also like to do a lunch at one of these : Bouley, Tocqueville, or Chanterelle
Anybody that is familiar with LA food (or otherwise) please weigh-in with what I will miss most in NY cuisine and help me decide where to go!
I have recently been to (and loved) Les Halles, Gramercy tavern, Shopsins, and Jewel Bako.
