Does anybody want to learn the basics of French cooking with me?

Hi guys, so I have a friend from work who is obsessed with French cuisine; I've been to a few of his dinner parties and the food is always amazing. I've been wanting to learn how he does it, and the other day he mentioned that it might be fun to design a series of recipes that could take someone from the basics to more advanced French cooking.

I was thinking, maybe we could start a mailing list, and he could post a recipe once a week, along with pictures of his process and the final result, and then we could ask him questions and post photos of our results. If we got enough people and we each pitched in $10 or so to make it worth his time we could probably get 5 recipes out of him. Would anybody else be interested in trying this out with me? I've already got a few people signed up. If we start in January than we should be master French chefs by Valentine's day ;)

EDIT: two people have already signed up on reddit https://www.reddit.com/r/Cooking/comm...
