Le Creuset saucepan to heat up oatmeal & other porridge - minimum size - 1.75 or 2.25 quart?

billybob2020 | Jan 17, 201701:34 AM     5

I'm looking at the Le Crueset 1.75 & 2.25 quart saucepans on Amazon because I need something to make oats, cream of wheat, and corn meal for one person. It would be about 2 cups water and 1 cup oats.

I'm concerned with 1.75 bubbling over while it is heating up, but I'm also concerned with the extra time to bring water or milk to boil with the 2.25 quart. Anyone have specific knowledge with these saucepans?
