Hi, everyone on here seems so knowledgeable so I decided to give up Googling and post something here. I've had a Le Creuset 12" fry pan in Caribbean for about 2 years now and I love it, it's awesome, have no issues cleaning the inside (cast iron) part but the outside enamel looks truly awful. I put it in the oven to reseason it a little bit after I scrubbed down the outside (mostly) with soap trying to get the enamel clean and it now looks even worse; it's like every little spatter of grease or food particles has adhered to the enamel and turned dark brown. I have tried everything. Salt, lemons, barkeeper's friend (thick paste and sit overnight), baking soda, soap, scrubbing it with a "no-scratch" scotch brite pad...I hate to do anything more abrasive than that. Does anyone know how I can get the enamel clean again? I saw that Williams-Sonoma sells a cast iron cleaner from LC for $16; I hate to spend that much on a cleaning product but if anyone has had any luck with it actually working on the enamel I will totally try it. Thanks in advance.
