LC color suprise (again)

I need to quit ordering LC from the computer when I have not seen it in person. I don't have an LC store anywhere near me, so I can't even look at it.

Anyway, I so love my 4qt Kiwi dutch oven and am sick that Kiwi was discontinued. But, that's the way it goes. I have wanted the kiwi silicone utensils, so I have been hounding ebay for them. I tried ordering a set from a website, but then was notified they didn't have it. So I found a Kiwi spoon/spatula and baught if from ebay.
But when I got it, I was disapointed to see that it wasn't really the color of my kiwi pot. I guess they couldn't make the silicone exactly the color. When I first took it out of the package all I could think of was the dreaded 'avocodo green' from the 60's and 70's. bleck. The only color I hate more than that avocoado green, is the harvest gold. It is a bit lighter in color than I remember avocodo green being, but it sure isn't that pretty bright lime green like my dutch oven.

I do, however really like the quality and the shape of this thing. I just don't know if I can deal with the color. Does anyone want to buy a kiwi spoonula or whatever they call it. If not, I might just put it away and give to someone for a wedding or house warming gift.

Now I need to decide on another color. I am thinking I like the cassis. I think it would look good with my kiwi and caribean and dune pots. I am thinking my next DO might be cassis. I saw a picture with Cassis, kiwi, and caribbean together, and it looked really nice.

But I wonder if food would look not so great in cassis. I know food looks a little odd in my caribbean pot. Food seems to look better in the greens and reds, and maybe yellow. Food looks great in my little 4.5 qt. kiwi pot.

Does LC ever bring a color out of retirement?
