Anyone been to La Shang Nian Ramen yet in Milpitas (Melanie?)

KK | Nov 28, 200501:43 AM     1

Today's Sing Tao Sunday paper has an ad for the following:

La Shang Niang Ramen (with Japanese kanji characters that read Hokkaido Sapporo).

Address: 42 Dixon Road, Milpitas, CA 95035
Tel (408)-719-0899

The ad claims that this is a chain, and there are 2000 of them in Japan.

They highlight a La Shang Niang OEC ramen, and also offer Tokyo style shabu shabu (mini hotpot).

The ad also highlights Sapporo style ramen, OEC ramen, "mah lah" (numbing hot) ramen, miso ramen.

The name La Shang Niang sounds like a Mandarin pronounciation, so I don't know if it is Taiwanese owned/operated or Japanese.

Hopefully this one's a winner and not a dud. :-)
