Thanks for the La Maison du Pain Rec !!!!!!!

We find ourselves on La Brea Blvd now and again. I love bakeries and had tried Susina a couple of times, which I find disappointing on all levels. I just don't get the draw here.

Thankfully, someone recommended La Maison du Pain. I went there today and tasted their cinnamon roll which was excellent, as was their croissant (up there with Amandine, although a bit less crispy--still quite good.)

My very picky companions raved about their miniature fruit tarts, which were gorgeous--would be lovely for an afternoon tea.

They also had an unusual brioche-type "baguette" that I purchased, but have yet to try. I also purchased an interesting breakfast bread covered with cream (cond milk?) and sugar. I will report back after tasting these....

My favorite bakery is Amandine, but this *really* surprised me--VERY good stuff! Thanks to the poster who recommended it :)
