I walked past a brand new Mexican restaurant on 5th Ave. between Prospect and 17th today. It was literally the grand opening--the awning was being attached as I strolled by. I was in a hurry so I didn't stop. I did grab what I thought was a menu, but turned out to be a flyer announcing their opening, their general offerings (tacos, tortas, sopes and the like) and a suggestion to present the flyer for a "descuento especial." From a cursory glance it's impossible to tell if the food is run-of-the-mill or something special. I'll check it out next week, and am interested in any reports as to food quality, choices, etc. from others.
