We live in La Conner and there are many fine restaurants here. For a high quality experience we highly recommend Le Jardin (open for dinner Saturdays and Sundays). The best kept secret is the La Conner Pub. This casual waterfront establishment has outside dining, family dining room, a bar and pool tables. The food is excellent (particularly the halibut which is available on Fridays) and the service is fast and friendly. Probably the worst restaurant in town is Nell Thorns Restaurant and Pub at the La Conner Country Inn. The staff is rude and surly, the food is drastically over priced ($12 for a green salad - give me a break!) and the ambience is reminiscent of a rabbit warren. They cater to the tourist trade and make no apologies that they don't care if you ever return. Our recommendation - stay away.
