Kramer Carbon Chef Handle Problems

dugifresh | Nov 27, 201809:26 PM     14

I just received a new Kramer 8" carbon chef with rivets and tang that protruded above the surface of wood handle. I emailed Kramer to inquire about their knowledge of this widely reported problem and they said they are aware of it and think it may be related to change in humidity from Japan (where knives are made) to U.S. They offered to sell me a knife from their own stock, personally insured by Bob Kramer to be smooth to the touch, and offered free engraving as well. They also said they are exploring remedies to this problem. Can't expect much more than that.........so I returned my original knife and reordered from Kramerknives.com.
