Koreana Report - great meal

Dave M.P. | May 30, 2005 10:21 PM

Last Friday my gf and I ate at Koreana. We've been there before and have had pretty good meals but this meal was better than others that I remember. We got there at 6:30 and waited 10 mins for a table, then were seated. Our first waitress was fine, but after we ordered, we suddenly got a different waitress who was extremely nice and helpful. We ordered the bulgogi and the brisket meat with sesame oil/salt, both items to be grilled at the table. Side dishes came out first, there were 6 I believe, all vegetarian (i.e. fish free) and all pretty good. Our waitress gave us tips on how to cook the meat (we haven't done this too many times at Korean places), and also informed us that we could ask for more side dishes at any time and get them refilled for free. We ended up doing this for about half of the items. The meat was very tasty, we ate both dishes wrapped in lettuce leaves along with kimchee and other side dishes. A very enjoyable meal. As a complimentary dessert, they brought us each a large piece of a very juicy and sweet orange.

I will definitely go back to Koreana for Korean BBQ.

Koreana is on the corner of Prospect and Broadway in Cambridge, near Central Sq.
