KING Donuts - Astoria

Is it me or is this the coolest -n- hippest donut shop around???

Colorful inviting open door cafe style - BIG HUGE donuts for *GASP* 50 cents each.

I recently took my lady to this place because she's a big chocolate freak and we ordered something called a "Chocolate Orgy" crepe. Drippy nutella, nuts, whippped cream... mmmmmm... it was overwhelming and we couldn't finish it. :(

I'm curious to know what other people think. To me the donuts are awesome, they are BIG and inexpensive but they seem well made and not too heavy.

Much bigger and cheaper than Dunkin Donuts, which is just up the block. Sometimes I wanna take these people walkin into Dunkin Donuts and redirect them to King Donuts.

Location is not very good. Along the N train @ 36 Ave - one block north. Industrial district.
Used to open 24 hours but I believe that's changed.

Joe
