I killed the yeast. Help!

I believe I have killed my yeast in my bread dough. I proofed the yeast, but then at the end I got a little dingbatty and added some very hot toasted millet and I think I killed the yeast (because It has been sitting in my oven proofing for an hour now and it has BARELY risen). My question: Should I toss it and begin again tomorrow, or can I toss in another teaspoon or so, knead it and reproof the dough or will it taste too yeasty?
