Kefir limes

I have a kefir lime tree in a pot. I use the leaves in Thai soups and the like, but I've never determined how the limes should be used. I was just reading the article in the NY Times about exotic limes, and it mentions that the zest is used in Thai dishes. What about the juice? It definitely doesn't smell or taste like Persian or key lime juice. Anybody have any uses or recipes?
