Just returned from a visit to KC. We were very excited about the opportunity to go to Arthur Bryant's. After all, it's possibly the most famous barbeque place in the country and the best restaurant, according to Calvin Trillin. What a joke! We stood in line cafeteria style. When we ordered a slab or ribs, they put it on a tray (no plate). I'm sure the tray had not been washed in a long time. The ribs were luke warm. The sauce tasted more like vinegar. The place was dirty. What a disappointment! We did have some good ribs at Jack's Stack and an excellent dinner at Pachamama's in Lawrence.
