Kababish lunch

zim | Jun 28, 200203:59 PM

With all the talk about fish tacos, I decided to try the alternative that VI mentioned -Kababish fried fish and chapatis.

Unfortunately for me there were no fish today, and no kofta either (which rene had mentioned) Though the fresh cahpati made me very very happy. I got a chance to try a few different things and would say this about their steam table stuff - the things to get are the curries of meat on the bone. The chicken one and the goat one I tasted today were pretty nice. The keema alu (ground lamb and potatoes) was pretty average, and don't get the biryani - it's definitely using yesterday's chicken today and to my tastes has a little too much of the sweet overtone indian spices (cinnamon, clove) But i did like the plentiful use of whole black peppercorns.

Ask for extra chapatis - you'll want 'em
