Kabab Curry Torrance-Report

Shadow | Mar 8, 2003 06:19 PM

Came down to Torrance to play Paddle Tennis with a new friend I met on a PT web site. She suggested having dinner at Kabab Curry-an Northern Indian Cusine Restaurant.

Kabab Curry was wonderful! The outside was very attractive and adorned with little white lights and the inside was very nice as well. This was my first time at an Indian Rest. so I have nothing to judge it against so all I can say is that I really liked it-and will go back again when in the area. We had Chicken Tikka (marinated boneless pieces of chicken breast) which was very moist and tender.

We also had Saag Paneer (spinach cooked with cubes of cheese and spices) which I also loved-the cheese mixed with the spinach was a surprising good combination.

We had a rice dish with peas, nuts and raisins-went great with the spinach dish! Really good! We both had a glass of wine but no dessert. Our bill came to $36 before tip.

We only ordered one of each of those dishes and shared and it was plenty and there was a good amount of left-overs for her to take home.
What I am excited about is that my first experience with Indian food was a positive one-so I will be back and am ready to try more!
