Walked past the Kabab Cafe today around 5 and was relieved to see Ali sitting in his customary spot, smoking his hookah (sp?). The place looks great, and best of all, the ambience seems almost exactly the same. There's a brand new stove and the kitchen part overall looks a bit modernized, which hopefully will just ease some of the master chef's toil. Tonight was the first night and I didn't eat there, so I can't report on food or prices, but it's great to see the place up and running. Ali, by the way, looks great.
