We dined at Johnny V last night, and, despite the recent conflicting opinions posted here, we had an excellent meal. There were four of us, and we had a snapper, a roast beef, a 3 Duck, and a venison. Each plate was not only presented beautifully, but was absolutely delicious. We began with two salads, which we shared... one an unremarkable mesclun with a vinaigrette, but ours was a Maytag blue cheese chopped salad that was so rich and wonderful, that we actually could not finish the shared portions. The chef offers an amuse bouche to begin... which was a cup of delicious creamed tomato soup with a chive stirrer and a crouton topped with goat cheese on the side.
I was partial to my dish, Duck, Duck, Duck, which was a confit of a leg, a few slices of beautifully rare magret, and the liver which was rare & delicious.
The prices are up there, but the quality matches them, and we will definitely return!
