Jasmine Deli Minneapolis: Downhill Alert?

Alice | Jan 28, 200607:57 AM

We went over there last night so I could have some chicken soup for my cruddy cold. Although the eggrolls and spring rolls were good and the soup was fine, I was horrified by the banh mi. They forgot to bring it at first and brought the check without it on there, so we reminded the waiter. Perhaps it is just because he rushed it out (which is really no excuse) but it was awful: grilled pork, carrots and mayo, no peppers, no cilantro, no cucumbers. It was very disappointing and I wish I had said something.
Overall, the service seems to have taken a dive, perhaps because Lee went over to their new place, which is Thai and Vietnamese. Has anyone else been there? Has anyone else had a bad experience at the old place?
Oh, also, with their new non-paper menu, they got rid of a bunch of the banh mi options which Paz had loved, like the pork skin.
