Went here for breakfast today with the kids and houseguests. Had been told by a friend who lives in Saybrook how good it was. Arrived at 9:30 (Sunday) got 2 separate tables (smallish seating area.)
Daughter had Eggs Benedict, big, thick slices of real ham. I had the special surf & turf Benedict (crabcakes and sirloin.) Hollandaise was good, I have yet to find a great one at breakfast out. . Crab cakes were mostly crab, little filler. Husband had the Maryland Benedict, crabcakes as the meat. We had a side order of corned beef hash, homemade, very good. Friends had a Portugeuse wrap (eggs, chorizo, onions & peppers) and french toast. Looked great. The prices are on the expensive side for breakfast, but well worth it, portions are fairly generous (son couldn't finish his 1 chocolate chip pancake.) The staff is friendly and pleasant. My one complaint is the coffee- should be better considering the quality of the food.
We will be back.
